When civil wrongs become criminal.

• bschuelke: @HouCrimLaw I had same reaction. BTW, us trial lawyers are accused of thinking civil lawsuits are the solution to ALL problems.

• PaulBKennedy: @bschuelke My gut feeling is he shouldn't be indicted, but I don't know enough about the case. Do you have a link?

• PaulBKennedy: @bschuelke I was surprised when I heard b/c those are usually resolved by a wrongful death suit that is quickly settled.

• sottolaw: @nikiblack indictments in matters that ought to remain civil is definitely on the rise..I have seen it happen in bankruptcy cases..

• sottolaw: @nikiblack failed entrepreneurs related to start-up capital, failed contractors, etc..clearly no criminal/fraudulent intent.
